"It’s such a joy to see how my students from years ago have become confident, self-assured, incredible adults!"
I have 30 years of experience supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade as an Academic Therapist, Bowman-certified Orton-Gillingham Reading Specialist, and Executive Function Coach. My background spans both academic and therapeutic settings, and I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware and my Elementary Education certification from the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore.
Before becoming an educator, I worked with high-needs adolescents in a therapeutic day treatment program. After training in Orton-Gillingham with Dr. Fran Bowman, I taught fourth grade and later joined Bowman Educational Services, where I provided Orton-Gillingham instruction, Visualizing and Verbalizing support, and Executive Function coaching.
Over the years, I have helped children and adolescents with a wide range of academic and socio-emotional challenges, including Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Autism Spectrum, ADHD, Anxiety, and other learning differences.
Nothing brings me more joy than helping students build academic skills, confidence, and self-awareness. It is especially rewarding to watch former students grow into capable, self-assured adults. Each year brings new opportunities to help children and teens recognize their strengths, develop essential skills, and thrive both academically and emotionally.
