Jennifer Birdsell is a career educator and the driving force behind Peak Academic Solutions' (PAS)™ highly personalized approach to student support. As Co-Founder and Director of Academic Services, she works closely with families and PAS ™ educators to understand each student’s needs, identify the right type of support, and ensure that support evolves as the student grows.​

Jennifer developed the Active Assessment™ process, which guides the company’s individualized approach to tutoring. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model, Active Assessment™ encourages educators to continually consider how a student learns, where challenges are occurring, and which strategies are producing meaningful progress. The goal is not simply academic improvement, but greater confidence, independence, and more effective learning habits. 

With over 30 years in education, Jennifer has taught mathematics at the high school and college levels and has extensive experience providing individualized support to students with learning differences and executive function challenges. Her approach has been shaped by specialized training from educational psychologists and other leaders in the field of learning differences.

Jennifer has been a mathematics faculty member at Anne Arundel Community College since 2012 and holds an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Towson University, a B.A. in Pure Mathematics from Eastern University, and a Maryland Secondary Teaching Certification.

She is particularly passionate about helping students who need something different from traditional classroom instruction and about connecting families with the right educator and the right support at the right time.
